I love that wood! One fine day I will be able to make my own... but hope dies last.;-)
Hello! If you like that wood I can send you some - I have lot of it and maybe that piece help you to made some fine knife :-)
Wow, Hloh, that´s too much, and I have a lot of cherry burr lying around myself... it´s just that I fear the need to work more precisely than on my fixed bladed knives that I am so reluctant, sloppy bum that I am...;-). But I have a friction folder lying on the bench already for starters, damascus blade and integral bolsters from wrought iron and such (and guess who inspired me;-)). I will write about the progress, of course. Thank you for your offer, but I must decline;-), I have altogether too much lying around in my attic-turned - home. Your offer is simply amazing, provided you don´t know me a bit! If YOU fancy any wood, I would also send you some, for I know it will be turned into amazing knives.;-) Still got some aged oak, yew (also root stock), small pieces of birch burr, vine-infested beech and birch and the like. Also, if you fancy some old (presumeably pre 1920) crucible steel (just check the carbon content beforehand) or a piece of tank cannon (Leopard II), tell me so, I have to clean up a bit!
